QEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalography)

QEEG is a more advanced version of the standard EEG as it records brain activity and compares the results to a large database of “normal” brain scans. Mapping the brain helps us identify imbalances and patterns that affect your cognitive function, general mood, and overall well-being. This data driven approach allows us to measure the impact of your treatment, track improvements, and make adjustments to your protocol ensuring you get the best care that supports your overall health.

What is a QEEG?

Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) is an advanced, non-invasive way to measure your brain’s electrical activity in real time. Every second, millions of neurons send tiny electrical signals to communicate. By capturing and mapping these signals, we can evaluate how your brain is functioning — and more importantly, where it might need support.

This test goes beyond a standard EEG. QEEG compares your brainwave data to a large, normative database, helping us pinpoint areas of dysregulation or inefficiency. It’s often used alongside NeuroQuant MRI scans, which assess brain anatomy, to provide a more complete picture of cognitive health.

What does a QEEG measure?

QEEG records brainwave patterns from various areas of your brain to identify irregularities in function. We’re looking for areas where communication between neurons may be too fast, too slow, or otherwise imbalanced.

Why might someone need a QEEG?

A QEEG can help:

  • Show which brain wave patterns can be improved
  • Identify psychiatric or cognitive concerns
  • Evaluate neurological damage from injury or disease (e.g., TBI, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s)
  • Support treatment planning for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and cognitive decline
  • Predict and track your brain’s response to interventions like neurofeedback, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or detoxification protocols
  • Provide data to create a personalized neurofeedback (NFB) therapy program to strengthen the brain

This is especially valuable if you’re seeking precision-guided therapies for brain health, whether you’re managing symptoms or working preventively.

What is it like to take a QEEG?

The process is simple and non-invasive. A technician fits you with a soft cap that contains 20 small sensors. A cooling, non-toxic gel is placed in each sensor hole to help conduct the signal — this washes out easily and is safe for your scalp.

The test itself takes just 15–20 minutes. For those using QEEG for ongoing neurofeedback tracking, the setup can be done at home with the help of remote guidance from our team.

How does this test fit into your care at Rezilir?

At Rezilir, we don’t guess — we test. QEEG helps us uncover what’s going on beneath the surface, providing clear, objective insights into your brain’s function. Whether you’re navigating cognitive changes or simply want to optimize your performance, this test helps us personalize your care plan with data, not assumptions.

How We Use the Results

We use QEEG data to build a customized neurofeedback plan that supports balance and regulation in your brain. It also allows us to objectively measure how your brain responds to therapies like HBOT, cognitive training, and detox protocols — so we can adjust and optimize your care over time.

Common Programs or Evaluations This Test Supports

  • The Rezilir Way for Cognitive Decline
  • Neurofeedback Therapy
  • The Neuro1 Brain Health Panel

How much does a QEEG cost?

  • Full QEEG Mapping: $750
  • Interim QEEG (Progress Tracking): $200

We’ll guide you through what’s right for your journey and whether this is best done as a stand-alone diagnostic or as part of a larger care plan.
